For our General Meeting this month we were priviledged enough to be given a guided tour of Exicom's facility in Porirua. Members present were treated to a demonstration of their electronics manufacturing processes and a stirring account of the benefits of retaining local skills and experience in this most competitive of industries. The group thanks all of those involved in arranging this, especially their CEO Trevor Burgess who was our tour-guide, as well as our very own Tom Clarke ZL2TDD, one of Exicom's employees.
On completion at Exicom we returned to the Tawa Service Centre (around 2030hrs) for the General Meeting and supper.
